Dance music always likes to look back, and so it is that the Digital Perspectives label returns to some of its most classic tunes.
They happen to have been produced by the label boss Darin Epsilon at various points in his long and storied music making career. Now they get remixed by Robert Babicz, Nick Muir, Wally Lopez and Paul Kardos.
All of the tunes are sympathetic to the original, and often tend to offer spaced out and inter galactic tech vibes. Long time champ of the underground Robert Babicz goes first with his take on Jumeriah, which is nine minutes of scintillating tech house laden with great synth work. The Nick Muir remix is more sombre and melancholic, with chords falling down the scale and bringing a sad feel to the slick grooves.
The legendary Wally Lopez then gets more upbeat with an astral rework filled with cosmic energy and glistening keys and chords. It’s progressive and sure to carry you away, then last of all Paul Kardos layers up bubbly synths with a sense of tenderness and closes out an emotive EP in style.
