Clean Bandit – Come Over

Following the release of their Top 3 debut album New Eyes and recent Top 5 single ‘Extraordinary’, Clean Bandit are pleased to announce details of their new single ‘Come Over’, which will release on August 4 through Atlantic Records.

Clean Bandit entered the year with a bang with one of the biggest singles of recent years and are now leading us into summer with their dancehall-tinged, Carnivalesque track ‘Come Over’ featuring Stylo G. Speaking about the new single, cellist Grace Chatto says – “Come Over is a song we collaborated on with the amazing UK reggae artist Stylo G.

Making the track was a great experience. Stylo is hugely talented and whenever he walks into a room (either at rehearsals or in studio), his massive energy infects us all. There are some bashment elements in the drums, as well as a big violin line and steel pans; instruments we’ve used quite widely across our album New Eyes.”

The London-based quartet, known for their eclectic sound, who recently embarked on a sold-out US headline tour, have firmly put themselves on the map after releasing their Top 3 debut album New Eyes earlier this month. The album received an abundance of acclaim, with the likes of The Times, Q, Independent on Sunday, Time Out + more awarding the LP 4* reviews. To coincide with the album release, the band even designed their very own Android/iOS Clean Bandit: The Game (a sliding puzzle game based around the band’s logo), which was available to download for free on all smart phones. Preceding the album release, Clean Bandit released their Top 5 hit single ‘Extraordinary’ which was playlisted across the board on Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss, Capital and Capital XTRA.

At the beginning of this year, the band’s infectious ‘Rather Be’ propelled the band to new heights. The single held the #1 spot in the UK’s official charts for four consecutive weeks (Adele was the last UK artist to have a #1 single for the same time period with her track ‘Someone Like You’ in February 2011) and has now sold over a whopping 1 million copies in the UK alone! The track charted in the Top 10 in over 25 countries, had the biggest week one UK sales in any month of January since 1996 and broke records on Hype Machine, Shazam and Spotify, topping streaming charts worldwide and breaking the UK Shazam record after becoming the most Shazamed track ever.

Clean Bandit will head out on a UK and Ireland headline tour this autumn, which will take in a Brixton Academy show. Having already played the likes of Radio 1’s Big Weekend, No Tomorrow Festival and Parklife this year, they’ll also be appearing at many more UK festivals this summer, including Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Bestival and more (full dates below).

Clean Bandit are: Jack Patterson (bass/sax/deck), Luke Patterson (drums), Grace Chatto (cello/key/synth) and Neil Amin-Smith (violin).
