Raised on a healthy diet of Funk and Hip Hop, Parisian DJ and producer Clyde P is breaking through the charts with his unique, underground sound. Teaming up with former Eastern Conference Records DJ and producer Mighty Mi, the pair make their debut on Hannah Wants’ Etiquette with the ‘No Rent’ EP.
Kicking off the EP, title track ‘No Rent’ boasts bubbling basslines and laid back drums with hip swinging claps and percussive rhythms over hypnotic vocal hooks and dubbed out transitions. Clyde P goes solo for ‘From Mars’, an intricate percussive number which entices with crisp percussion and sustained pads that lay the foundation for chopped vocal cuts, intriguing synthesizer transitions and a grooving low-end.
