Jonas Rathsman continues his fine run of form in 2016 making his debut on Solomun’s stellar, Hamburg-based imprint Diynamic Music. ‘Cobalt’ is a slick and propulsive track with staccato bass, driving percussion and turbulent late night synths. After gaining impressive DJ support in the clubs from the likes of Ewan Pearson, Danny Daze, Carl Craig and Joseph Capriati, the track was soon picked up by BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac and Pete Tong, and was Triple J’s record of the week on The Friday Night Shuffle.
‘Cobalt’ features on the sixth instalment of Dynamic’s much loved ‘Four To The Floor’ series, out on 5th February. Behind each of the four tracks are a crack selection of artists old and new, all of whom are making their debut on the label run so famously by underground maestro Solomon.
