In the midst of his epic North American ‘The Journey’ tour, Seven Lions adds to the journey with his latest ethereal creation– this time in the form of ‘Cold Skin,’ a melodic tune produced with live electronic duo Echos.
Out now on Monstercat, “Cold Skin” blends a cacophony of spellbinding sounds, taking listeners on an adventure through cerebral time and space. The captivating and emotive track is guided by entrancing female vocals from Lexi of Echos, who sings over celestial piano chords and gravity-defying melodies. Continuing Seven Lions’ tradition of transcending musical boundaries and creating thematic artistic works, “Cold Skin” is a hybridized masterpiece that encompasses the soaring vibe of trance with the the peacefulness of acoustic indie rock.
“I want to do something different,” says California native Seven Lions. “Everything doesn’t have to fit into just one genre. I want people to walk away loving different kinds of music and sounds.”
“Cold Skin” is accompanied by a series of tour dates for both of the artists. Seven Lions’ ‘The Journey’ tour is in full swing with roughly 22 more stops along the way and support from Monstercat labelmates Pegboard Nerds and Unlike Pluto. Echos will be hitting several major American cities with their debut live performances in November and December including the duo’s most anticipated show to date at The Roxy in Los Angeles and their debut festival performance on the Main Stage of the SnowGlobe Festival in Lake Tahoe.
