Bristol-born DJ, producer and singer Coldabank has unveiled sultry new single ‘Take Me Back’, out 9th August via Warner Records.
Combining old-school marimba stabs with his own scintillating vocals, ‘Take Me Back’ seesColdabank delivering a fresh, uplifting vibe ideally suited to warmer climes. With a nod toTensnake’s 2009 classic ‘Coma Cat’, it’s a track destined to soundtrack countless summer parties over the coming months.
Written and produced with collaborator Morixo, Coldabank describes ‘Take Me Back’ as “a song about longing for a simpler time in life; a golden era. Whether that’s a summer fling that burnt out, a first trip to Ibiza, or a lost love, it’s a feeling we can all relate to.”
Now living in London, Coldabank’s varied career has seen him engineer for Tinie Tempah, DJ with Labrinth, remix for Rudimental and release a number of his own tracks. ‘Lovin’ You’, his most successful hit to date, has clocked up over 8 million Spotify streams since its 2017 release.
Arriving at the height of summer, ‘Take Me Back’ further demonstrates Coldabank’s ability when it comes to crafting smooth, feel-good dance music.
