Colourful Nu-Disco Extraordinaire Super Plage unveils ‘NYE’ Single & Video announces Magie à minuit Album

Kaleidoscopic House musician Super Plage released his latest single and video ‘NYE’ on the 20th of January. The single premiered by KCRW‘s Travis Holcombe. A gentle introduction to the new year, the track debuts ahead of his upcoming album Magie à minuit, which will be released on the 31st of March 2023 via Lisbon Lux Records. The record follows his 2022 single and video release titled ‘Pélicans’, which was supported by French radio station C Lab. In the past, the musician won GAMIQ awards for his albums Super Plage II and Électro-Vacances, and his music has been aired by the prominent station NPR Music as well as Radio-Canada, and CISM 89,3 FM. Super Plage is looking forward to performing at SXSW 2023.

Furthermore, the laidback producer has received support from the internationally recognised music news publication Notion Magazine as well as Exclaim!, and Orcasound. He has also earned praise from French-Candian digital magazines Le Canal Auditif and Le Devoir, raising his total stream count to over seven hundred thousand across platforms. On Spotify, his music has been added to editorial playlists such as borderless, Oracle and Montréal Chill

Born and based in Montréal, Canada, Jules Henry, better known as the French-Canadian electro-pop musician Super Plage, has released three albums in the span of just two years, namely Super Plage I, Super Plage II, and Électro-Vacances. To top it off, he dropped a 21-track compilation titled REMIXTAPE that features remixes of Quebec musicians such as Safia Nolin, Anachnid, Les Shirley, Ariane Roy, Calamine, Laura Lefebvre and others. Super Plage draws inspiration from Robert Robert, Flavien Berger, and La femme a Super Plage, piecing together a sonic mosaic that calls the likes of Empire Of The Sun, Polo & Pan, and Claire Laffut to mind.

A mellow and happy track, French electronic music producer Super Plage‘s latest offering ‘NYE’ captures the easy-going early morning afterparty mood. A bubbly and buoyant mixture of airy, lifted chords, the minimalistic production soothes with the help of an evocative voice that invites us to stay a while longer and reminisce over the memorable events of the night before. We can only wonder what his forthcoming album Magie à Minuit will bring to the dancefloor.
