This March sees Ron Costa sign to the flourishing Love The Underground Records imprint with a collection of rollers featuring remixes from label founder Mikaela and regular Kike Medina.
French DJ/ producer Ron Costa has had a busy few years, touring endlessly around the globe’s major cities, from London and Cape Town to Paris and Istanbul. Aside from his own Potobolo Records imprint, Costa continually amasses a strong catalogue of material on labels including appearances on Suara, Monique Musique and Poker Flat. He now arrives on the Love The Underground Records roster, joining the likes of Miguel Bastida, RJay Murphy and Artslaves in the imprint’s fifth release.
‘Coluka’ saunters along with metallic jingles and punchy drums whilst an infectious melody operates on top. The second original is a dark and moody cut titled ‘Back Home’, which rumbles forward before becoming interjected with cavernous synths.
Delivering the first of the ‘Coluka’ remixes; Mikaela’s version ups the energy with chugging bass lines and piercing stabs. Finally, Kike Medina targets the peaktime with a high-octane rendition boasting commanding kicks and rising cymbals.
Ron Costa’s ‘Coluka’ EP drops via Love The Underground Records on 14th March 2016.
