Leon Lour unleashes the ‘Control The Masses EP’, presenting three bass-heavy floor-fillers, released on Get Twisted Records on 28th October.
The EP opens with title track ‘Control The Masses’, a future house cut with a big room sound, before taking things deeper with ‘Best Around’, featuring rising electronic talent Benson Groove. Leon Lour then rounds things off perfectly with ‘Be On Top’, which builds into a peak time anthem.
The last 12 months have seen London-based Leon Lour release on Chase & Status’ MTA Records (‘Purpose To Be’) and Pete Tong’s FFRR Records (‘Can’t Stop’), as well as teaming up with Mike Mago on ‘Higher’, released on Spinnin’ Records.
Leon Lour has quickly established himself as an in-demand remixer, reworking huge tracks for Martin Solveig (‘Do It Right’), Kideko (‘The Jam’), Thomas Jack (‘Rivers’), and MOUNT & Nicolas Haelg (‘Something Good’) amongst others, regularly picking up spins across Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss, and Capital.
Leon Lour’s output has transcended the dance music factions, with backing from artists as diverse as Maya Jane Coles, Blonde, and Afrojack, as well as radio support from Radio 1’s Danny Howard, DJ Target, and MistaJam.
Get Twisted Records has gone from strength to strength, having signed an imprint deal with Columbia Records in 2015. Owned by the acclaimed London- based duo Tough Love’s Alex and Stef, Get Twisted’s unique sound of bass infused house cuts mixed with R&B, 90s dance and garage has made the label a force to be reckoned with.
Get Twisted’s growing roster of talent includes Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Sandy Riviera, Amine Edge & DANCE, Man Without A Clue, Full Crate, No Artificial Colours, and Hannah Wants alongside up and coming talent AS I AM, LiTek, Catchment, Newbie Nerdz, and Midnight City.
