Today sees one of the UK’s brightest producers Patrick Topping join illustrious imprint Suara for the first time with his killer remix of label-boss Coyu & Edu Imbernon’s 2009 Beatport chart topper ‘El Baile Aleman.’
The original mix, with its tribal grooves and rolling beats, catapulted Suara’s founder Coyu and fellow Spanish DJ/producer Edu Imbernon into the international spotlight as it became the highest grossing track on Beatport in 2009. The retailer also awarded it ‘Best Underground Track of the Year’ that year after it dominated their Tech House and main charts.
The new remix comes from Newcastle’s Patrick Topping, who gives the track a deeper, thumping groove that contrast with a series of 8-bit riffs, taking the listener on a journey with dramatic builds and drops throughout.
Suara has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2008. The Barcelona-based music brand has been Resident Advisor’s most charted label for the last two years running and are currently celebrating their second annual Ibiza residency, this year, every Friday at Sankeys from June 26th – September 25th 2015.
Topping’s remix, alongside a second new rework from Subb-an, is a testament to Suara’s eclectic style and serves as an exciting new addition to the label’s ever-expanding repertoire.
‘El Baile Aleman’ Remixes Part 1 is available exclusively via Beatport from July 20th and the rest of the world a week later.
