July 20th 2015 sees two of the UK’s brightest producers, Patrick Topping and Subb-an, join the illustrious Suara imprint for the first time with their killer remixes of label-boss Coyu and Edu Imbernon’s 2009 Beatport chart topper ‘El Baile Aleman.’
The original mix, with its tribal grooves and rolling beats, catapulted Suara’s founder Coyu and fellow Spanish DJ/producer Edu Imbernon into the international spotlight as it became the most sold track on Beatport in 2009. The retailer also awarded it ‘Best Underground Track of the Year’ that year after it dominated their Tech House and main charts.
The first remix comes from multi award-winning Geordie DJ/producer Patrick Topping who gives the track a deeper, thumping groove. This is contrasted with 8-bit riffs as he takes the listener on a journey with dramatic builds and drops throughout.
The second cut comes from dynamic underground producer Subb-an who casts a warehouse-ready edition of the original track. He seamlessly varies the rhythm throughout, layering up a multitude of driving percussion loops and melodic fragments over a pulsating bassline.
Suara has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2008. The Barcelona-based music brand has been
Resident Advisor’s most charted label for the past two years running and are currently celebrating their second annual Ibiza residency, this year, at Sankeys every Friday from June 26th – September 25th 2015.
These remixes from two of Britain’s rising talents are testament to Suara’s eclectic style and are exciting new additions to the label’s ever-expanding repertoire.
‘El Baile Aleman’ Remixes Part 1 is available exclusively via Beatport from July 20th and the rest of the world a week later.
