Multi-generational duo Omicasa (Craze & Matsu) have landed with their new single ‘Ultimate’ out now via Dirtybird Records.
Created with the intention to fit under the Dirtybird sonic umbrella, ‘Ultimate’ has all the trademarks of a Dirtybird classic mixed with the dynamic flair of Omicasa’s unique style. The track blurs the boundaries of deep house and tech as Omicasa play with layered builds and interchanging breaks over the course of its four and a half minutes. A nod to the experimental nature that binds Craze and Matsu, ‘Ultimate’ is a striking combination of unexpected progressions and energizing rhythms that will fuel dancefloors far and wide.
“When we started the Omicasa project, we were determined to push ourselves creatively. We want to make music that challenges the norm and moves dance music forward. ‘Ultimate’ is a testament to that intent – it’s a unique record that takes you on a wild ride! We’re honored to release this track on the legendary Dirtybird Records!” – Omicasa
Nicaraguan-born, Miami-based producer/DJ Craze is the only three-time winner of the DMC World Championship. In 2010, Craze founded Slow Roast Records with Kill The Noise. Craze has collaborated with TroyBoi, UZ, Brillz, Four Color Zack, and Black V Neck, and remixed the likes of DJ Sliiink, JSTJR, Machinedrum, and Proper Villains.
Inspired by turntablists like Craze, Brooklyn-based producer/DJ Matsu got his start making waves on the DJ battle circuit at Redbull Threestyle and A-Trak’s Goldie Awards. His originals have landed on Fool’s Gold, Nervous Records, and IN / ROTATION. As of 2019, Matsu copilots Slow Roast Records and further works with Craze as part of their collaborative Omicasa project.
