DJ Mag, in partnership with Armada Music, has announced a very special competition to give one lucky winner the chance to create the anthem for the Top 100 DJs awards show — and there’s a very special prize for the winning entrant.
The winning track will open and close the Top 100 DJs awards ceremony in Amsterdam on 18 October. DJ Mag and Armada Music will fly the winning artist to Amsterdam especially for the ceremony, and the competition winner will have a meet and greet with the No.1 DJ in the world — and a chance to network with other top DJs. The winning track will then be released by Armada Music.
All budding producers have to do is create a new track, no more than nine minutes long, and send it to DJ Mag HQ. The track can be in any style, but remember — it’s an anthem for an awards show. Probably best to think EPIC! The closing date is September 18th.
Entrants should send the track in a downloadable format (no attachments) to top100anthem@djmag.com along with all relevant contact details for the submission.
A panel of industry experts will then select the ten best tracks which will be uploaded to the DJ Mag YouTube and Soundcloud channels for public voting for a fortnight. The winner will be chosen by a combination of likes, plays, positive comments and judging from DJ Mag’s expert industry panel.

LESS THAN ONE WEEK LEFT TO VOTE
There’s less than a week left to vote in the 2014 edition of DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs Poll, which closes on 15 September: http://www.djmag.com/top100djs
The No.1 DJ in the world will be crowned at the Top 100 DJs awards event at the Amsterdam Music Festival on Saturday 18 October, held during the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). The presentation partner for the awards is KLM – ‘carrier of the world’s best DJs’. The level and scale of the Top 100 DJs Poll in 2014 is neatly conveyed by the choice of venue for this year’s event – The Amsterdam ArenA. The stadium for Ajax football club will welcome tens of thousands of fans to ADE’s biggest dance event.
Tickets are now on sale for the UK Top 100 DJs awards party at 02 Academy Brixton; also held on Saturday 18th October, this is the biggest Top 100 DJs party to ever hit the UK. This event will feature the biggest DJs across the planet with a very special performance from the artist voted this years’ world No.1, who will be flying in from Amsterdam. This years’ line up consists of Dash Berlin, Showtek, Riva Starr, Flash Mob, Copy Paste Soul, plus new additions Aly & Fila, Andrew Rayel, Coyu, Dyro & Don Diablo.
2013’s edition of the Poll saw a new winner in the form of Dutch powerhouse, Hardwell; the Dutch DJ/producer replaced five-times No.1 Armin Van Buuren. At 25 years old, Hardwell became the Poll’s youngest ever winner. Last year’s Poll received votes from well over 750,000 people and from more than 200 countries, reinforcing its position as the biggest music poll in the world. Previous winners include the likes of Hardwell, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox and John Digweed.
The Top 100 DJs Poll is a publicly voted poll that inspires fierce debate across the year with speculation on the world’s No.1 DJ, new entries and biggest climbers dominating online discussion and beyond.
