‘Ain’t Giving Up’ is a track built for momentum. It’s a clear evolution from the more melodic tones of his last single, ‘What If’ (with Az Always), showing a sharper, more assertive side of his production, leaning into evident Bassline/Speed Garage influence that Leeds was renowned for in the genre’s heyday. It’s a taste of what’s to come from ‘Confluence’ – a project that fuses club dynamics with storytelling, aimed squarely at dance music lovers.
‘Ain’t Giving Up’ isn’t Crvvcks’ first time turning heads. He first broke through with ‘Colours’ on 3Beat, which earned him daytime playlist spots on Kiss FM and Capital Dance. That release and tracks for Defected’s D4 D4NCE and Tiësto’s Musical Freedom label firmly put him on the radar of major tastemakers. His last single on Perfect Havoc, the aforementioned, ‘What If’, earned him Featured Artist status on BBC Introducing (Leeds & Sheffield), highlighting impressive support from the underground and the mainstream.
