D.Guti brings the heat to Uniting Souls Music!

A true music lover, D.Guti (Derrick Deep) is celebrated for his ability to perform and produce a diverse array of music styles, adding his unique twist to each element. Renowned for his seamless mixing techniques, Derrick gracefully blends different styles and soundscapes, creating deep and intriguing musical journeys for his listeners.

Derrick’s passion for music is driven by a deep spiritual and soulful connection, aiming to heal and uplift through sound on the dancefloor. He performs on both analog and digital mediums, whether it’s spinning from his vast record collection on a pair of Technics 1200s, CDJs, or delivering an all-original live performance with drum machines, synthesizers, and samplers. Derrick’s sets are infused with a full spectrum of sounds, reflecting his multi-genre artistry and musical inclusivity. As he says, “We are forever bonded through deepness”, encapsulating his vision and the theme that resonates throughout his performances.

Derrick began mixing music around the year 2000, inspired by the vibrant underground house music scene in the Bay Area of California. In 2004, he moved to Washington, where he became deeply inspired by the Seattle House Music community, particularly by Ramiro and Uniting Souls Music. By 2006, Derrick became a resident DJ with Uniting Souls, in which he still helps with curating events and performs alongside both local residents and international headliners. In 2018, Derrick launched his own label, Deep Light Recordings, which focuses on manifesting his vision through music and event productions. In 2019, Derrick accepted an invitation to become a weekly resident DJ for Seattle’s dance music radio station The Vortex on C89.5FM / c895.org, which he shares his live all-vinyl sets live on-air to a worldwide audience.

Derrick’s latest release, the “Ascension EP” featuring a remix by Jon Lee, is inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the Pacific Northwest’s majestic mountain ranges, which ascend into the vivid hues of Seattle’s glorious sunsets. Derrick’s music resonates with the hearts of true dreamers—those who believe in love, marvel at sunsets, gaze at the stars, and remain endlessly enchanted by the mystery and beauty of the sky. Each track is a sonic journey that captures the essence of wonder and a profound connection to the natural world.
