Resident at some of America’s biggest venues and formerly official touring DJ for juggernaut electronic act LMFAO, DJ and producer Dainjazone is already a familiar name for music fans around the world. Now with his brand new single ‘Power’ – which marks a new musical direction – he looks set to continue creating waves.
Chunky bass grooves tinged with elements of late 90’s pop-house, ‘Power’ gets a delicious lick of flavour thanks to a topline from Aussie MC Flygirl Tee. Irreverent enough to be on the right side of cheek (rather than cheese), she strides across Dainjazone’s composition with the same kind of sensual timbre as an early Fergie. Together the pair craft a radio-ready, dancefloor-friendly cut that should land more than a few playlist spots while they’re at it.
Out now on his own label, ‘Power’ is the first in a new series of releases coming from Dainjazone, scheduled to end with the launch of his Evolution In Progress Vol. 2 EP. The artist has secured his spot on the Eastern US circuit with regular slots at The Grand and Memoire in Boton, HQ in Atlantic City, and Shrine in Connecticut. Definitely one worth keeping an eye and an ear on, expect much more as the year grinds towards a close.
