Dance Anthem Queen Charlie Hedges drops dancefloor weapon

Renowned radio presenter and DJ Charlie Hedges has released the floor-filling new single ‘Silence Your Mind’ via Perfect Havoc.  Featuring a standout performance from musician and Made In Chelsea star Fredrik Ferrier, Charlie creates a large soundscape around his unique vocals with rave stab synths and a bassline so fitting for festival season. Loved by all, the larger-than-life Charlie Hedges has taken prime position at BBC Radio 1 in recent years following her long stint as breakfast show host on KISS FM, where she scored the show’s biggest ever audience of 2.2 million listeners. As well as hosting Radio 1’s iconic Live Lounge alongside Rickie and Melvin, she’s the selector behind the biggest dance show in the UK every Saturday night, Dance Anthems. Featuring two hours of Classic Anthems followed by an hour spinning the anthems of today, Charlie is a passionate advocate for the international dance music scene, and a right laugh to boot.

As a club DJ, Charlie has toured the globe playing some of the biggest dance events and festivals. These include a residency with Carl Cox in Ibiza, Amnesia Ibiza, Pacha Ibiza, Isle of Wight Festival, Boardmasters, and a residency at BH Mallorca playing alongside Craig David, Duke Dumont, Steve Aoki, Axwell and Ingrosso.

There really is no end to Charlie’s talents. She’s released various house tracks on labels such as Spinnin’, Armada and Defected, and as a remixer, she’s reworked Ella Henderson & Tom Grennan’s ‘Let’s Go Home Together’ (Atlantic Records), as well as for Rudimental, Clean Bandit and John Summit.

She now adds Perfect Havoc to her ever-growing catalogue of labels with ‘Silence Your Mind’ and it’s perfectly primed for the dancefloor. While Fredrik’s vocals are a key part in this accessible house track, when the build comes, it’s purely Charlie’s production on show; high octane and energetic like the lady herself and guaranteed to tear up the dancefloor.

For Fredrik Ferrier, while his face is most recognisable as the star of the BAFTA award winning Made in Chelsea, it’s his voice that is the star here. The British-Icelandic artist has signed to labels including STMPD, One Seven and more, and seen support across the UK airwaves on Radio 1, Capital FM and across Europe and the USA. Fredrik’s classically trained voice with its unique tone, unmistakable falsetto and lyrical bass, has worked in harmony singing alongside such prominent acts as Jason Derulo, Natalie Imbrulgia and Pink Flloyd drummer Nick Mason. As well as being an accomplished pianist and violinist, Fredrik’s writing talents have led him to collaborate with acclaimed songwriters who have such star-studded credits that include Justin Bieber, George Michael and Martin Garrix.

‘Silence Your Mind’ is yet another quality release for Perfect Havoc.
