Dance Queen Charlie Hedges goes high-octane on single ‘Lost In It All’

BBC Radio 1 dance show host and DJ, Charlie Hedges, returns to London’s hit-making label, Perfect Havoc, with the high-octane new single, ‘Lost In It All’ featuring star vocalist Jess Ball. With old skool rave stab synths and a driving bassline, ‘Lost In It All’ has already been making festival-goers giddy when Charlie dropped it to thousands of fans gathered at Gold Coast Festival last week.

This big tune dropping follows a good news week for the larger-than-life Charlie Hedges, after the announcement she would be presenting a brand new Dance Anthems Show, scheduled for the Drive Time slot on the Radio 1 Dance airwaves, Mondays – Fridays 3-6pm. Now totalling three shows across Radio 1, as co-host of the iconic Live Lounge, and as the selector on the UK’s biggest Saturday night dance show, Dance Anthems, Charlie Hedges is bona fide authority on the international dance music scene, and a right laugh to boot.

That knowledge translates into each Charlie Hedges production, which have been signed by crucial house labels, Spinnin’, Armada, Defected and Perfect Havoc. While as a remixer, she reworked Ella Henderson & Tom Grennan’s ‘Let’s Go Home Together’ (Atlantic Records), as well as for Rudimental, Clean Bandit and John Summit.

With a jam-packed tour schedule for summer 2024 including stops at Pure Zante, Switch Disco at Ibiza Rocks, the mega Radio 1 Ibiza Weekender and Summerdaze Festival Malta, it’s a busy time for Charlie Hedges, who now has a new weapon in her armoury with this new release.

‘Lost In It All’ is aimed squarely at the dancefloor. Charlie covers everything one could possibly need from a dance track; drive, melody, breaks and drops in all the right places, and those all-important hands-in-the-air moments. Both old skool and modern by design, ‘Lost In It All’ is one hell of a soundscape.

Joining Charlie on ‘Lost In It All’ is Jess Ball, an incredible singer and songwriter who has recently worked with NERVO, Mike Williams & Curbi and streamed over 4 million on her solo release on Selected. Her unique style is inspired by several genres, extending from pop to indie rock and hip-hop. While only releasing for just four years, the young talent has turned heads, earning a No.1 on the Future House Beatport charts with ‘I Found You (Neptune)’ alongside EDX, which has streamed over 20 million, and a spot in SiriusXM’s Electro Top Songs of the Year..

There’s lots more in the pipeline from Perfect Havoc for the rest of the year with tracks also landing from Stephani B, T.Matthias and Adam Griffin, Todd Terry, and more. Now in its 9th year, Perfect Havoc continues to push the envelope of crossover house music and to build on over 10 billion global streams, six UK Top 20 singles and multiple platinum, gold, and silver awards.
