Continuing his swift rise through the ranks of the minimal and deep tech scene, Daniel Orpi delivers the sophomore release for Mixtank’s in-house label with ‘New Reality’.
A groovy, laid-back roller with lush beats, crisp percussion and a seriously funky bassline, New Reality is a characteristic example of the stripped-back beats that have seen Orpi signed to labels like Saved, Kaluki and CUFF. With New Reality, Daniel has developed an idea that he created as part of his exclusive production masterclass for Mixtank earlier this year, so fans have the unique opportunity to experience the full story of the track’s journey from studio concept to dance floor.

With the release landing on the first anniversary of Mixtank’s launch, it represents a huge milestone for the brand that has since collaborated with over 30 artists including Seb Zito, Luuk van Dijk, Dennis Quin, SHOSH, Madvilla and James Hurr. In addition to a wealth of free production tutorials that users can access to further their studio skills, Mixtank has also hosted webinars with industry heavyweights from platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Bandcamp and Facebook that are available for free and contain crucial advice for artists and labels trying to navigate the constantly evolving landscape of electronic music.
