Danny Howard turns up the temperature on AINT & Strobe’s Summertime bubbler “Kids Of NYC”

Aint and Strobe’s injection of sunshine into the heart of the city that never sleeps ensured the ‘Kids of NYC’ wouldn’t be heading off to bed just yet. With its all-in-together rhythm made for audience participation and tribal vibes brought onto the streets, the sizeable reputation of Danny Howard takes charge of the situation with a Dark Acid mix. Bulging, sweat-stained 303 beats and backing synths on the edge of destiny, redirect the heatwave so that the happy-go-lucky chanting melts before your ears. A brief slow down allows Howard to recalibrate the acid, towel down the speakers and kick on until the track’s banging conclusion.

Aint has shown his dexterity on Be Yourself Music with the releases of 2020’s ‘Teenage’, a cosmopolitan adaptation of Wheatus’ ode to the geek alongside Strobe, and the heartfelt ‘Walk Away’, letting clubbers down gently earlier this year. The prolific Strobe has put in work for Flamingo, Armada, Vandit, Spinnin, Big & Dirty, Dirty Soul and Strictly Rhythm. With ‘Kids of NYC’, the pair have been applauded for their vibrancy “that screams, “dance like nobody’s watching””.

Danny Howard is one of the world’s most recognisable names and voices in dance music, long holding it down on BBC Radio 1 and about to take over the reins of the world famous Dance Party show from the departing Annie Mac. Howard has piled his dancefloor education into the Ministry of Sound, Saved Records, Toolroom, Moon Harbour, Sola and Anjunadeep labels as well as his own Nothing Else Matters imprint, with remixes for Kim English, Riton, Mark Knight and Shermanology part of his all conquering remix inventory.
