The LA composer/producer Danny Olson has been teasing a massive project and now Club Cinema is here. The five track EP consists of some truly dance music that takes influence from movie soundtracks and orchestral sounds. Featuring collaborators like the rappers Vo Williams and Daemon, as well as the indie vocalist David Frank, Club Cinema is a project everyone needs to listen to.
Club Cinema opens with the larger-than-life “Dreamer” that sets the stage perfectly for the epic nature of the EP. The previously released singles “Night Falls” and “The Far Side” follow keeping the energy high, while “Sunrise” amps things up with its hybrid hip-hop sound. “Don’t Wake Me Up” closes out the EP perfectly while keeping the energy there, but giving things some more groove and bounce.
Overall, this is one of the stronger EPs this year and we can’t wait to see what else Danny has in store. For anyone in the LA area, he’ll be showcasing the EP live at Catch One on 4/29! Don’t miss out.
