Danny Olson takes the next step towards his Firelight EP with the amazing RUNN collaboration “I Hope You Know.” As the follow up to “Waking Up” on Seeking Blue, the second single takes listeners on a new sonic journey through inspiring and uplifting emotions that were bred from a heart-breaking occurrence.
With the loss of Danny’s dad last year, this EP is part homage and part catharsis. “I Hope You Know” expresses the positive impression left behind by a loved one through our memories of them. RUNN captures the essence to perfection with powerful lyrical content and a performance that is one of her best. Danny’s production is jaw-dropping as always, but here he gets a bit more playful than usual for a song that’s as catchy as it is deep.
