Dapa Deep – One Life

Hailing from Romania, DJ and producer duo Dapa Deep have landed their name on Armada Music’s latest compilation ‘Deep House Selection Volume 6’, with their hit single ‘One Life’. Out now on the world famous imprint – this track is dedicated to all the awesome people in the world and is included amongst the works of top artists such as: CeCe Peniston, Maceo Plex & Gabriel Anand, Coyu, Paul Oakenfold & Cassandr, Booka Shade, Felix Jaehn, Krono, Twax, Y.V.E. 48, Phl, Tapetenwechsel, Paolo Mojo & Marco Tequi, EDX, Shake Sofa & Saccao, Jan Blomqvist, Luke Hassan, South Seven, Sugar Hill & Wasabi, Nemanja Kostic, Innomine, Low Steppa, Joshi, and Flaxen Beats.

Dapa Deep’s Darius Beinoravicius and Paulius Bukauskas are not new to the business and are used to seeing their names around music giants, having opened for: Cosmic Gate, Above & Beyond, Andy Moor, Sandy Riviera, John Digweed, and Myon & Shane amongst others with their previous projects. Their decision to team up has combined Darius’ melodic Progressive and Trance expertise to Paulius’ groovy House music inspirations, managing to create a unique style of Deep House whilst adding their own distinct zests into their work. As a tandem they have released singles and Eps on primetime labels including: Armada Music, Submission Music, Valentina Records, Velcro City Records, About U, Sine Nomine, and MHT Records.

‘One Life’ hits with the signature Deep House vibe, created by the laid back drum groove and sub by deep-bass melody. The dreamy synth element aids in creating a tranquil aura whilst serving as a melodic support for the smooth vocals. The contrast between the groovy low-end and the mesmerising components roaming the higher end of the frequency spectrum truly produce an inimitable effect, displaying Dapa Deep’s prolific sonic control. The intensification and cutting back responses applied to the groove direct and balance the dynamic levels throughout the single. The phasing, rustling effects expended are a smart choice by Dapa Deep, supplying a link between sections and subtly satisfying the gaps. ‘One Life’ is a sheer display of Dapa Deep’s mastery and profound understanding of diverse music.

Dapa Deep seem to have gained the trust of heavyweight label Armada Music, with ‘One Life’ being their second track to be featured on one of their compilations.
