Dark Wave Producer Øfdream unveils Millenium EP shares ‘Certain Degree’ Single & Video

Millenium is the final EP from French Wave scene pioneer Øfdream released on the 21st of June 2023 via THE PLAYGROUND Records. The EP follows his groundbreaking debut EP Anthology, Part 1, which has to date received support from a number of Spotify editorial playlists, including Electronic Mix, Witch House Mix, Ambient Mix, Lo-Fi Mix, Chill Mix, The Sound Of Wave, and many more, racking up 60.86 million streams. Millenium continues the upwards trajectory of Øfdream’s dark blend of New Wave, Synth Wave, melodious trap and heavy alternative electronic sounds.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Lorn, The Prodigy, Nothing Here, Klimeks, Massive Attack and Aphex Twin, Øfdream’s forays into production began with early experiments in progressive house. Dabbling in hip-hop and creating new sounds and textures, his sound began to take shape akin to the garage, trap and electronic music by which he was influenced.

Engulfed in a melodic haze, the 4 textured records that comprise Millenium move listeners from brazen basslines to seismic guitar riffs, walls of multi-chorus synths, and, finishing with a flourish, intricate fills n’ cuts. Dark and dreamy, the EP is no less than what one might expect from Øfdream.
