Das Mörtal drops new track ‘Falsche Daten’ with insane visuals

Multifaceted producer Das Mörtal unveiled his new single ‘Falsche Daten’, on the 30th of April 2025 via Lisbon Lux Records. The track premiered on renowned tastemaker Decoded Magazine, and received support from acclaimed electronic music publication YourEDM and Post-Punk.com. The single is accompanied by a trippy music video too, and is the first offering off his forthcoming Origins EP, slated for release later this year. The single is a rare time capsule, crafted in the formative years of the producer’s career – a snapshot of a defining moment in his vast sonic evolution. With over 60 million streams on Spotify alone, Das Mörtal has received media and radio support across the globe. With several EPs and albums released, he has appeared at numerous major festivals such as Osheaga, Transmusicales de Rennes, FME, and Meg Festival, while opening on tours for the likes of Vitalic, Perturbator, and Carpenter Brut. On stage, he has racked up nearly 100 shows since 2015, including more than 70 dates in the U.S. and Europe (UK, France, Scandinavia).

Das Mörtal’s music has been praised by heavyweight industry webzines CLASH Magazine, KALTBLUT Magazine, METAL Magazine, Run The Trap, Canadian Beats, MetalSucks, Cult MTL, Le Canal Auditif, Ottawa Life Magazine, DIFFUS Magazine, VOLT Magazine, and Brutal Resonance to name a few. Additionally, his music earned Most Added New Release on the American college radio chart Top 200 NACC, as well as landing on several influential pages on YouTube such as NewRetroWave.

Now based in Montréal, Das Mörtal began his journey in Berlin, inspired by artists such as Steve Moore and Aphex Twin. The enigmatic producer focuses on a dark and nostalgic sound, skillfully blending genres from Techno to Occult Electro to horror and sci-fi film soundtracks – and so much more. With ‘Falsche Daten’, Das Mörtal offers a sound that is timeless yet crisply fresh, seamlessly blending elements of Acid, Modular, and Industrial Techno sure to ensnare fans of Surgeon, Richie Hawtin, and Ø [phase].

The track is a masterclass in techno, effortlessly retaining Das Mörtal‘s signature dark spirit. Gritty industrial atmospherics swirl around an irresistibly fast four-on-the-floor beat, with the arrangement shifting between mesmerizing spaciousness and urgent eruptions of frenetic hi-hats, cymbals, walls of noise, and splintering synths. The star of the show is a hyperactive, wriggling synth line that echoes and reimagines the raves of the 90s, modulating and distorting as it leads the track with timeless, driving fervor.
