Next up on Crosstown Rebels is a release from one of the most long standing and highly respected artists of the techno scene, Dave Angel.
“Inspired by music from my youth, Revelation and Guru are a perfect partnership of ideas and sounds I put together to reflect that. I´m also really excited to be part of the Crosstown family” Dave Angel
Dave Angel has created a forceful and thumping techno dream with ‘Revelation’, a track that unfolds as intensity increases. ‘Guru’’s techno infusion beholds a dreamy vocal, warm synths amidst a driving beat made for tireless dancefloors.
A part of the very fabric of the UK techno scene, Dave Angel’s status as an erudite for electronic culture is based upon the endless memories of those who have lived, loved and danced to the astonishing output of music he has created over the years. Born the son of a Jazz musician and brother to British hip-hop artist Monie Love, Dave’s path in music came to the fore during the 80s acid house scene in London
Dave’s weekly broadcast on pirate radio station Phaze One catapulted him into the spot light with notable publications like Mixmag, DJ Magazine and The Guardia. He has remixed Orbital, Sun Electric, Carl Cox, Juan Atkins, Spooky, James, Roni Size and Underworld and released on esteemed labels such as Polydor/Love, OuterRythum, Fnac, React Records, Island, R+S and Outrage as well as his own infamous Rotation records.
