Dave Audé transforms Tony & The Kiki’s ‘Keep Shinin’ On’

Tony & The Kiki have teamed up with Grammy-winning DJ and producer Dave Audé for a fresh remix of their recent glam-rock anthem, ‘Keep Shinin’ On’.

The original thrived through heavy distortion, stadium-filling performances and a rebellious party atmosphere. Now, Audé transforms that sonic palette from the arena to the festival stage, it bursts with synthesiser shimmer, light and hazy rhythms and a powerful house drum arrangement. Relentless, powerful and euphoria-inducing, it feels as explosive as the original, but evokes a whole new set of emotions. The vocal is the perfect tie between the two directions, perfect and immense in both contexts.

Audé shares, “I’ve remixed hundreds of songs over the years, but what excites me most is when a new artist brings something truly different to the table. Tony & The Kiki aren’t like most up-and-coming bands; their sound and energy are totally their own. Remixing Keep Shinin’ On and reimagining it for the dance floor was so much fun, and I look forward to getting it out to the world.”

Tony continues, “Keep Shinin’ On was always meant to be an anthem for the girls, gays, theys and anyone who feels like they’ve been counted out. Dave Audé has taken it to a level we didn’t even think possible. It’s a sea of sound that you wanna bathe in. The beats are infectious. The man is an absolute sonic wizard and we’re beyond lucky to have him on Planet Kiki for this remix!”

Fearless in execution, Tony & The Kiki have conquered New York City and are soon set to embark on the West Coast and the City of Angels for Palm Springs Pride, bringing their unique sound to a whole new audience.
