Dave Clarke’s White Noise show reaches 400th episode

The mother of all techno radio shows and podcasts, Dave Clarke’s legendary White Noise, will reach its 400th episode on Saturday the 24th of August 2013. This longest enduring techno music radio show is seen by global techno fans as an absolute institution for techno and electro and an indicator of where the scene is headed. For the 400th installment of White Noise, Clarke will present a special 3-hour live show in the Dublin studios of Irish radio station RTÉ 2FM accompanied by special guests, to be aired over the airwaves as well as live via YouTube.

The thrust of White Noise is to cast light on new talented producers and exciting new music by both established as well as aspiring producers Clarke discovers on a weekly basis. Rather than playing the obvious, Dave Clarke programs music that won’t have normally be given a chance. The amicable split up with Dutch radio broadcaster VPRO (3FM) in 2012, and by reducing the show from two hours to a one hour show, allowed Clarke to dedicate more time to create music. Clarke continued White Noise on the Irish radio station RTÉ 2FM and French online and airwave station Radio FG, followed by the award winning web radio Digitally Imported (DI.fm). Currently, White Noise is syndicated to over forty radio stations worldwide.

Dave Clarke will fly to Dublin to live present an extended 3-hour White Noise #400 show between 10pm and 1am (UK time). Prior to the festive White Noise episode, radio host Will Kinsella will present a pre-show on RTÉ Pulse between 9pm and 10pm UK time. Alongside Clarke, The Baron of Techno will be joined by DefeKt – an electro musician representing Southern Ireland – and the Northern Ireland tech-sisters L.A.W., a duo who came in first place on the Demolition Panel during the Amsterdam Dance Event in 2012, a panel Clarke hosted. Both acts may count on a vast amount of radio plays by Clarke during previous White Noise episodes. DefeKt and L.A.W. will perform live during White Noise #400.

UK followers can tune in to White Noise #400 to 2FM on SKY & Freesat or online, and commercial-free via RTÉ Pulse using the RTÉ Radio Player. Outside of the UK, the techno aficionado can use the RTÉ Radio Player. In case you would like to take a sneak-peak into the studio and witness Dave Clarke & Guests, the entire show will be aired on YouTube via the 2FM page and a video version of White Noise #400 will be made available on YouTube the following weekend. The show will be recorded, with a ‘special edition’ podcast available the following Wednesday.
