David Pher – Right Here

Continuing a string of impressive releases, Crosstown Rebels off-shoot label Rebellion welcomes Berlin based David Pher to the imprint with the double hitter ‘Right Here’.

“I was speaking to Damian about a release, so I decided to make something that was Crosstown/Rebellion through and through. I found this amazing spoken word poet called Chronfused and everything just clicked.” – David Pher

On the A-side ‘Right Here’ showcases David’s ability to produce dark grooves perfect for the dance floor and particularly the after party with twisted vocals and chugging yet sultry beats. On the B-side, ‘Overpowering Space’ grabs you with a bouncing bassline and melodic bell chimes, using percussion and eerie vocals to full effect.

Growing up close to Frankfurt, David Pher discovered his passion for electronic music in Ibiza, which soon led him to move to Berlin after studying Popular Music and Media. His first EP was released in 2008 – ‘Harare’ quickly becoming a big hit.

From 2009 to 2013, David was part of Steve Lawler’s Viva Music family, playing numerous parties worldwide, honing his impressive DJ skills and playing alongside some great artists. His releases can be found on the likes of Ministry Of Sound, Tsuba, Gruuv, Viva Music, Harthouse and many more. This next venture on Rebellion sees David at his best and sets the way for more to come.
