DBN – The GRiiD

Set to drop March 30th, as a free download, is the phenomenal new single from the German production trio DBN. Having played at the world famous Tomorrowland, Mayday and Nature One Festival in Germany, the boys have dropped numerous releases such as ‘Gotta Get Thru This’, together with Jordan Ferrer on Laidback Luke’s imprint of Mixmash Records, as well as previous productions alongside Kaskade, Tommy Trash and R.O.O.S. reinforcing their place as Germanys number 1 Dance Act.

The Griid’ arrives as a fresh and welcoming sound for house music lovers of today. Opening with a tension-building rise, a deep and quirky vocal announces the drop’s arrival, which is dominated by a piano-esque lead synth and deep electro bass.

The group says of the release – “The initial track name idea was from the movie ‘Tron’. Thinking about it, it was made in the early 80’s and comparing it to now, making music nowadays, it’s (almost) all happening the way the movie has predicted it. Everything is all about digits – zeros and ones… so we’ve decided to do an organic track. Music is not about limitations like grids, digits, zeros and ones… be creative, break the rules, do your own thing. This is what DBN stands for…”

DBN have offered a stunning production to the world with this single, and with more releases and huge collaborations already in the pipeline, 2015 looks set to be an exciting time for Germany’s hottest act around.
