Meanwhile, a magnetic and menacing hook instantly captivates. The accompanying visual overflows with energy as these three titans manage to take over the screen together.
A bevy of heavy-hitters jumped at the chance to collaborate on Die 4 Respect. On “Hood Melody, DDG and YoungBoy Never Broke Again trade bulletproof rhymes, while Coi Leray lends fierce female energy to “Impatient. You’ll never think of The Lion King the same way, but Tyla Yaweh blesses “Hakuna Mata” with all kinds of rockstar swag. Check out the full tracklisting below.
DDG and OG Parker first set the stage for the project with “Money Long” [feat. 42 Dugg]. It posted up 1.7 million YouTube views on the music video. Receiving acclaim, HotNewHipHop praised it as “bouncy, and HipHopDX called it “anthemic” and included it on “New Music Friday.
DDG has quietly become one of rap’s hottest new stars. In addition to regularly attracting 6.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify, he has posted up over 450 million streams, while his gold-certified smash “Moonwalking In Calabasas” has surpassed 200 million-plus gloam streams and taken the #1 spot on Rap Caviar three separate times. He also just delivered a knockout performance of “Moonwalking In Calabasas” on UPROXX Sessions—watch HERE.
Flexing with clever quotable bars, blockbuster hooks, and superstar power, DDG shakes up the status quo with unpredictable and undeniable bangers. After 2018’s Take Me Serious, he rose to the top of the hip-hop class on VALEDICTORIAN. Within just a year, the single “ARGUMENTS” scored his first gold certification. Igniting 2020, he achieved a major breakthrough with “Moonwalking In Calabasas (Remix)” [feat. BLUEFACE], earning a ubiquitous hit and his second gold plaque in the process.
