De La Soul headline Saturday Night at Camp Bestival

Winner of the UK Festival Awards Best Family Festival 2013, Camp Bestival is without a doubt the greatest family show on earth! With a veritable feast of funambulists, including the likes of the legendary Mr Tumble, Horrible Histories, Ben & Holly (Live), Basement Jaxx, James, Johnny Marr, Laura Mvula, Boy George & Marc Vedo, David Rodigan and many more lined up to bowl you over and bedazzle one and all this coming July 31st to August 3rd at Lulworth Castle, our festi-holiday heaven is about to get even funkier as we reveal our Saturday night headliners!

Ringmaster in chief Rob da Bank says: “De La Soul have soundtracked my life for the past 25 years since the dayglo hippy daisy age glory of 3 Feet High and Rising first found its way onto my first plastic turntable. I’ve seen them loads of times since then and they are just one of the best party acts imaginable. Camp Bestival is gonna be a very, very fun place on Saturday night!”

Saturday, it’s a Saturday, Saturday, it’s a Saturday! Yes, yes! Daisy age hip-hop kings De La Soul are coming to Camp Bestival to headline Saturday night. One of the most popular bands from the golden age of hip-hop, De La Soul’s all-out, sample-tastic treats are guaranteed party starters. From The Magic Number and Me, Myself & I to A Roller Skating Jam Named ‘Saturdays’ and Stakes Is High, Posdnuos, Trugoy the Dove and Maseo deliver the good vibes by the bucket load and we can’t wait to dance to this fix and flex every muscle!

We’ve still got lots more acts and arts and food and fun to tell you about but in the meantime, our unique premium camping area, Camping Plus is close to selling out. So, if you want to guarantee yourself a plot to pitch your tent with tip-top facilities and dedicated parking you need to get in there quickly! Check the Camp Bestival site for more info and booking links.
