Debonair Indie Rockers The Burma shares ‘Live in Lisdoonvarna’ Video

The Burma Music Group. Filmed and edited by Ciara O’Toole, the video performance sees the band showcasing 4 tracks from their recently released debut album, Sucker For Stars. The set includes ‘Hard To Say’, a mashup of their record ‘Mike and Simone’ and ‘Blinded by the Lights’ by British band The Streets as well as ‘Don’t Believe Your Dreams’ and ‘Sleepers’. The band is thrilled to be performing their first show in the UK on Saturday the 19th of August in London. Tickets are available here.

The band has received extensive support from industry tastemaker publications such as The Rolling Stone India, CLASH Magazine, Hot Press
, Atwood Magazine, NOTION Magazine, and Medium.com/Pop Off among many others.

During the week of its release, Sucker For Stars was the No. 3 best-selling Independent Irish Album, landing on the Irish charts and placing in both the Irish Homegrown Top 20 Singles and Top 5 Irish iTunes Singles, not to mention receiving airtime on RTÉ 2FM with Dan Hegarty. The band’s sophomore album is due for release in late 2023.

Dressed to the nines, Indie Rock ramblers The Burma give listeners a taste of the feeling they can expect from their shows with their new brand live video. Shot in The Royal Spa Hotel, Lisdoonvarna, Co.Clare, it thrums with the band’s personality and live-feel energy.

Named after The Burma Steps in Cobh, The Burma is an Indie Rock band based in Cork, Ireland. Since the release of their debut album Sucker For Stars, they have gained extensive coverage and airplay across Ireland, the UK, and the USA. The 3-piece is made up of Tony O Donovan (Vocals), Peter Piggott (Lead Guitar) – both from Cobh Co. Cork, and Cian Doherty (Drummer) from Doolin, Co. Clare. Crediting their influence to the 2000’s American Indie scene, the band names The Killers, Tame Impala, The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys, and The Strokes as their inspiration, creating records reminiscent of Glass Animals, MGMT, and Foster the People.
