Simon Shaw - Deep Within My Soul

Sense Traxx label boss Simon Shaw steps up to deliver the 10th release on the label this June, with three bubbling original productions forming his debut EP on the imprint.

Founded in 2016, Sense Traxx’s signature blend of jacking and percussive house has seen the label gather serious momentum across the last 12 months, welcoming the likes of Kalyde, Rich Wakely and Jhonsson to the catalogue whilst gaining support from industry heavyweights including Maya Jane Coles, Paco Osuna, Santé and Sidney Charles. Following his own releases on Lauter Unfug and Basica Records, and remixes for South Royston and Tom Jay on Sense Traxx, label boss Simon Shaw steps with his frist EP on the label armed with three fresh and sun soaked cuts delivered just in time for summer.

Opening the EP, title track ‘Deep Within My Soul’ sees Shaw ready a rolling production that fuses jazz interludes with punchy kicks and fluttering synth leads, before ‘Sine, Square & Saw’ eases it’s way into proceedings with an impressive arrangement of organic percussion shots, subtle vocal loops and skipping hats that are sure to get crowds moving.

Rounding things up, ‘Tunnel Vision’ sticks to the stripped back aesthetic and flows fluently into a classy laid back effort, with an infectious vocal laid over a smooth deep lying groove-line, rich chord arpeggios and dusty drum licks, concluding yet another notable addition to the growing Sense Traxx back catalogue.
