Def Mix Productions & David Morales Pay Tribute To Michael Jackson & Frankie Knuckles

The deluxe edition of Michael Jackson’s new album, Xscape yielded three versions of the single “Love Never Felt So Good” co-written by Jackson and Paul Anka. Now, on the fifth anniversary of Michael Jackson’s passing, Def Mix Productions and Epic Records unveil four new renditions.
 
In a four-track remix package of the record, “Love Never Felt So Good,” Def Mix Productions founder David Morales and his team salute The King of Pop and dear friend Frankie Knuckles in meritorious manner.
 
Morale’s first offering is named in Knuckles’ honor. The recently departed Frankie Knuckles, known as the “Godfather of House Music,” revolutionized his genre of music much in the same respect as Jackson to pop music.
 
Formed in 1988, Def Mix Productions changed the game for club remixers. Their powerhouse production team, which included Frankie Knuckles, manager Judy Weinstein and DJ David Morales, created a new system for reworking tracks by building them from scratch, even re-recording vocals, instead of simply rearranging the song. That is how Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, and Michael Jackson came to be acquainted.
 
Though he has been a go-to remixer for Michael Jackson’s collective musical body throughout the years, David Morales humbly states, “To be honored to have been asked to remix MJ’s “LNFSG” is an understatement. When I first heard the song I immediately thought, ‘this is so DEF MIX’ it’s our sound. It’s vintage Michael and that’s what I love the most. The original was great to begin with. The song is so positive that everyone can relate to it especially during these times. It’s refreshing!”
 
David Morales and Def Mix Productions’ “Love Never Felt So Good” remix collection, is produced in true Def Mix fashion, and is a stunning tributary to two iconic music legends.
