Elijah Simmons is a fast rising UK producer with a super deep and heady sound. He has had props from the likes of Blondish before now and here marks a debut release on the Inside Out Records label with three terrific new tracks that perfectly showcase his style.
Dream Sequence is an elegant deep show offering with moody synths, cerebral motifs and subtleties throughout. The drums are rubbery and rolling and go bump in the night, some spoken word cinema samples lend it even more atmosphere and the jazzy hits are gorgeous. Next up is the intimate Delphi, with its far off synths that suck you right in. The drums are lazy but enticing and the whole thing builds to an epic melodic peak that will have you in awe. Close To You then closes things out with some majestic pianos and slippery drums that are full of drama and teary eyed emotion. In all this is a classy EP from a classy producer who is really going places.
