Much vaunted electronic trio from South London DEMS released their debut album ‘Muscle Memory’ last November. Vocalist, Dan Moss is reminiscent of James Blake, the dulcet South London croon juxtaposing seamlessly with the glitchy noise created by his bandmates. DEMS make unflinchingly beautiful progressive songs that will comfortably sit alongside such luminaries as The XX, Kindness or SOHN.
Evil Nine do not mess about, taking Dems’ shimmering vocals and instrumentation back to the warehouse with this dark, ravey rework of ‘Wake’. This uncompromising, industrial reimagining sees the legendary Brighton duo collaborating with the London band for a second time, having previously remixed their debut release, ‘House’. Off the back of their recent Solar Black Rays EP, Evil Nine continue to pioneer the way in underground dance music with their pitched down jungle experimentations.
