Deniz Koyu Releases Big-Room Progressive House Inspired Club Mix of His “Next To You”

Back in June, Deniz Koyu released the easy summertime anthem “Next To You,” and now he’s back to up the ante with the track’s official club mix. If the original was meant for listening to during breezy, poolside days with a cold drink in hand, the new club mix heats things up during balmy nights at beachside clubs while catching the eye of that attractive stranger. Koyu incorporates big, bouncy basslines with upbeat synths and some vocal distortion to the original’s emotive lyrics, introducing nighttime vibes to the carefree song. The original version of “Next To You” was the first of a two-part series, both of which tell a story in the same style of music, cover art and music video. Whenever Deniz puts out new sounds, the world stops and listens, and we are confident that there’s more fresh music coming from him very soon!

Deniz Koyu is a dance music veteran who has helped to shape the landscape of progressive and electro house music as it is today with iconic club hits such as “Tung!“, “Bong” and many more. His recent work under KO:YU has included high-profile remixes of Alesso and Anitta‘s “Is That For Me” and The Chainsmokers‘ “Young.” He has evolved with the constantly changing landscape of electronic music, evidenced by his foray into indie-pop and house fusion with “Paradise” and the uplifting vocal house of “Lost Soul.” It follows Koyu‘s prior releases “GO” on Spinnin’ Records, “Feel It” with Magnificence, and “Destiny” with Nicky Romero on Protocol. It’s always a treat when Deniz returns to the label, so keep an eye out for his next single!
