HNQO is a producer whose tracks have been gracing dance floors for years. Having previously released on huge labels such as Hot Creations, Warung Recordings and Defected, he is an artist who has been a pioneer in gaining the recognition Brazil deserved in the Dance music community. His latest EP comes on his own label ‘Playperview’ with 3 steamy tracks paying homage to Motor City Detroit.
First off, ‘Detroit’ serves up 6 minutes of sci-fi inspired synths and enticing melodies over a warm, driving bassline. Samples hiss as the track rolls towards its glitchy electro-inspired melody that arpeggios over the bass showing HNQO’s prowess as a musician.
Up next is ‘Wrong Play’ with sexy chords looped over a growling bassline making you want to get up and dance from the offset. A captivating track that could be a bomb in intimate venues as well as big room warehouses.
Finally, we have ‘Save Me’. This can only be described as a galactic fusion of techno and ambient, with long, driving, powerful chords creating a mind bending soundscape. These grandiose chords create an epic melody as the bass rolls through, punctuated with glistening melodies making it a track to remember.
This EP puts Brazil on the map as HNQO fuses deep and techno to make a diverse and mouth watering EP.
