From Thursday, October 19th, to Sunday, October 22nd, Amsterdam’s iconic NDSM Warehouse will once again play host to DGTL highly anticipated ADE programming. Over the course of four spectacular days and six captivating shows, the event will feature performances by some of the world’s most renowned DJs and live acts, all in front of an audience of 30,000 enthusiastic visitors.
Thursday’s opening night showcases the broad scope of DGTL’s line-up. With headliners Bicep, Dixon and Stephan Bodzin on the line-up, tickets are unsurprisingly selling fast. Experimental DJ Jennifer Loveless and psychedelic, UK bass queen Manami ensure female acts are firmly front and centre. DGTL’s commitment to representing homegrown talent comes in the form of Berlin-based producer Coloray, who dances across the lines of 80s synth pop, disco and electronica, and who released his track Blinded on DGTL Records last year.
Friday night’s extravaganza sees legendary Norwegian duo Röyksopp perform their exhilarating live show. The Scandinavian visionaries have been transforming their performances into unparalleled musical trips for years. Unprecedentedly productive in the studio, with three new albums last year alone (!), the unique performance from Röyksopp promises to be one of the standout moments of ADE 2023 as a whole.
Folamour has been a beloved and inseparable part of the DGTL family for years, so it’s only right that his House Of Love will dominate Friday night at the NDSM Warehouse. With an energetic set by crowd favorite and DGTL regular Jayda G, which will undoubtedly resonate far beyond the Warehouse, DJ David Vunk keeps the vibe pumping with a set full of Italo and disco music for the masses.
Energy leads to extravagance, and they don’t come more extravagant than DGTL’s next two superstars: The Blessed Madonna and Róisín Murphy. Róisín will be a special guest on DGTL ADE Saturday during We Still Believe By The Blessed Madonna. Her new album Hit Parade will be released on September 8 and if her recent Boiler Room set is anything to go by, her solo performance for DGTL will be one for the books. Sedef Adasi, resident DJ of the iconic BLITZ in Munich and Panoramabar in Berlin, will have house classics, electro and space disco tumbling over each other in her set. For those still reeling from Bambounou and Vuur’s thrilling set on the Boiler Room stage at DGTL Festival earlier this year, double down as they return to DGTL ADE, alongwith DJ FKA.M4a, who is still on everyone’s mind.
For fans of dark techno, NDSM Warehouse on Saturday night from 23:30 absolutely delivers. SPFDJ makes the dance floor tremble with fast, hard-hitting techno, smatterings of electro, acid, hardcore and trance effortlessly sprinkled throughout. Last year, set-proclaimed ‘noisician’ Paula Temple made waves on the dance floor, and this year she’s promising to turn it up a notch. Dax J is back for the third time in a row, and in advance of Saturday night will be another legendary b2b between Helena Hauff and Héctor Oaks.
And for the first time in its ADE history, DGTL also announced Sunday programming, a move that turned out to have the golden touch. When DGTL organizers dropped news that Sunday would belong to the legendary Peggy Gou and her Gou Talk party, tickets as expected almost immediately sold out; with DJ Stingray 313, Carista and Objekt just some of the names lining up alongside Peggy Gou herself, it came as no surprise. The perfect way to wrap up ADE 2023, it underlines how on the mark DGTL remain with their commitment to bringing only the biggest, most innovative stars to their line-ups, year in, year out.
