With a constant stream of crossover successes from a crop of new UK producers, house music in Britain has never been in better shape. Secondcity, Alex Adair, Route 94 and more have all paved the way for mainstream acknowledgement and now they have another name destined for the same fortune in prolific producer Digital Farm Animals, who reveals another huge record to add to the impressive back catalogue today. Stream True via YouTube now:
Featuring the pitched up and pitched down vocals of DFA himself, True is a prime example of the young hit-makers ability to write and produce catchy but unique tunes. Announcing itself with lush piano chords that drive the track across its entire runtime, it weaves in and out of soaring filters that keep the listener enthralled through ever changing sonic palettes. As the record winds its way around synths and piano as the backdrop, the vocal line remains crisp and captivating as DFA yet again implements a formula for smash hits.
Following on from the massive Didn’t Know with Rinse’s Yasmin, which premiered on the coveted Fader – as well as the recent Only Love Can Save Us – True only adds to an already incredible 2015. Keeping the momentum going by jumping in the studio with none other than Chance The Rapper, Karen Harding and ROMANS, expect to hear big things over the next few months.
