Dillistone and Medina team up on new hit ‘Weightless’

Two of the most exciting voices in electronic music out of Denmark, Dillistone and Medina, join forces to produce this emotionally charged and transformative new dance anthem, ‘Weightless’! 

 

Touching on love and relationships and the ‘Weightless’ of such emotions and circumstances, Dillistone effortlessly manufactures the serene yet groovy soundscape on which he and Medina provide their vocal expertise to bring the production to life. Dillistone has been making waves in Denmark and globally with his unmistakably emotional and futuristic production and vocal style, refining his dynamic sonic profile with each release. The intercontinentally raised producer/singer/songwriter has been on a steady run of top-quality releases for the past few years, with 2023’s highlights being solo effort ‘Lost’ and epic collaboration with James Carter on ‘Felt A Little Like’. Initially starting his journey in the music industry online, Dillistone quickly became a prolific remixer of some of the biggest names in music, most notably for Dua Lipa’s 2016 smash hit ‘Be The One’. Some years later, Dillistone is one of the most exciting young, upcoming artists in Europe, writing and producing original electronic music for the masses. Growing up across monumental cities like Copenhagen, Shanghai, London, and Berlin, Dillistone has had a unique upbringing and, in turn a unique view of music and its place in different cultures. This explains the eclectic nature of the influences present in Dillistones music, merging several sounds and ideas and arriving at his distinctive style that is so well revered in the scene right now. 

 

Medina is a legendary voice in the musical landscape of Denmark; the electro-pop singer initially broke into the Danish charts in 2009 with her sophomore album ‘Velkommen Til Medina’ featuring hit single ‘Kun For Mig’, which spent 17 weeks in the Danish top 5 songs charts and has remained one of Medina’s more popular singles. Since then, Medina has continued to add strings to her musical bow by collaborating with successful producers on massive tracks like M-22 on the viral hit ‘First Time’, as well as a remix of her single ‘You & I’ from none other than Deadmau5, which went on to be a huge success across the globe, charting in the UK and the US while also going #1 in Germany! Almost 15 years into her career, Medina continues to impress, and this collaboration with fellow Dane Dillistone is a testament to that!
