Unveiling his first solo release of 2022, Dimitri Vegas has lined up something special to kick off his year. Pairing with DJ Master Frank, a true legend of the arts, for the release of ‘Peek’s Dream (Music From Picabo)’, Dimitri Vegas brings a fusion of the big screen and the dancefloor together for the latest Smash The House release.
‘Peek’s Dream (music from Picabo)’ is a track taken from the new documentary film “PICABO” that tells the fascinating story of Olympic champion skier Picabo Street. DJ Master Frank and Dimitri Vegas’ version opens with a swirling melody before morphing into a pulsing kick and bass groove. An electronic-synth based guitar then lights up the track in a rock-led style that adds Cinematic energy through cross-genre experimentation that ensures ‘Peek’s Dream (music from Picabo)’ is an earworm for the electrified generation.
Over the years, they have forged a friendship due to their love of storytelling, whether onscreen or through music. Sharing his thoughts on the release, Dimitri Vegas said: “From the red carpet to DJing together at the Star Wars wrap party, dressed in the official X-wing pilot suit, wrapping up the end of the Skywalker saga. We’ve shared some great times. Now, I’m excited to get around to us releasing a record together finally; welcome to the Smash family!”
DJ Master Frank is the moniker of acclaimed film producer and director Frank Marshall, who has produced some of the biggest summer blockbusters ever to land on the silver screen. Among his countless film credits are major franchise movies that include Back to the Future, The Indiana Jones, Jason Bourne series, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Sixth Sense and Jurassic World.
Dimitri’s journey into Hollywood led him and Frank to meet and later work together. Since making his first onscreen debut in 2015, Dimitri has appeared in movies such as Sylvester Stallone’s Rambo: Last Blood, Men In Black: International, Lukas with Jean-Claude Van Damme and Hazard (Dimitri’s debut lead movie role). Additionally, he recently joined Frank and the crew for the final instalment of the Jurassic World franchise – Jurassic World: Dominion, with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.
