Commemorating 20 years of rowdy releases and rebellious events, renowned house and techno label Dirtybird today announces its upcoming year-long celebration packed with new releases, merch, and an anniversary tour.
Over the past two decades, Dirtybird found a home in the inclusive, ageless, and open-minded community. For fans and artists alike, Dirtybird has created an ecosystem that is absorbent of the quirky personalities of its flock members, extending beyond music to incorporate comedy, art, yoga, and more. The label’s iconic events have left an indelible mark on dance music history. From their traveling BBQs in the 2010s and DB Players Tours, which spotlighted Dirtybird’s rising talents, to their expansion into festival territory with Campout, which ran for 9 years with its last edition in 2022, and CampINN, their hotel takeover events in Orlando.
This year’s lineup of celebratory releases and events marks a defining moment for the label, and a new milestone since being named Mixmag’s ‘Label of the Decade’ in 2017. Now under EMPIRE Dance’s wing, Dirtybird will welcome longtime veterans alongside new fans to experience the whimsical sounds and magical community that is synonymous with Dirtybird.
As part of their 20th Anniversary Tour, Dirtybird is bringing their flock superstars and bird-themed antics to intimate venues around the globe, starting in Portland, OR on February 8. Hosting different lineups in each city, Dirtybird’s 20th Anniversary Tour will make additional stops in Miami, Denver, Seattle and Phoenix, along with unique takeovers throughout their San Francisco hometown. With more dates to be announced soon, flock favorites like Sacha Robotti and Black V Neck will appear on select dates in addition to performances from Dirtybird Players and rising Birdfeed bubblers.
Fans can expect the oddities and eccentricities that are strewn through the fabric of Dirtybird’s DNA and ingrained in every live offering. From the fanciful games and unadulterated freedom of their acclaimed Campout and CampINN festivals to the iconic curation that dates back to their early raves in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, Dirtybird events are truly one-of-a-kind.
Events are just the beginning of Dirtybird’s anniversary festivities. Their 20th year will be filled with momentous albums and fresh releases from familiar faces, like ‘Check My Brain’ from Miami-based duo Black V Neck. 2025 will also feature commemorative compilations, exciting new merch lines, and Birdfeed subscribers can also expect new perks as part of the expanded social club.
Dirtybird’s first 20-year collectible is their new Fresh Eggs Hand Picked (Vol. 1) limited edition vinyl box set, available now for purchase. The four-vinyl compilation features 16 of Dirtybird’s greatest hits through the years, from cuts by Claude VonStroke, FISHER, John Summit, and Get Real to longtimelegends Sacha Robotti and Walker & Royce, as well as newer faces like VNSSA, Nala, and Nikki Nair. With many tracks available on vinyl for the first time, Fresh Eggs comes packaged in a custom egg carton themed box that contains a selection of limited edition merch, including jewelry and 4 vinyl coasters that feature original artwork from the box set tracklist.
