Dirtybird Records is shining a light on rising Brazilian house and techno acts with its latest compilation Taste Of Brazil.
Taste Of Brazil continues Dirtybird’s long standing effort to spotlight new artists from the region. In 2023, the label highlighted some of Brazil’s hottest talents with releases from Bruno Furlan, DJ Glen, Cour T., Plastic Robots, and Danny Kolk. Offering a selection of tribal tones, overzealous rhythms, and deep basslines, Taste Of Brazil features four of the country’s finest newcomers: São Paulo-based Borgez, Curitiba-bred LET BR, Rio de Janeiro’s Rafaloo, and Goiânia-born VIRKING.
The compilation opens with ‘Millions’ from Borgez, a continuous groove with a catchy topline that will light up international dancefloors. Next up is LET BR’s relentless and percussive-heavy ‘Catch Ya’ and Rafaloo’s bass-bouncing ‘BANTO’. Capping off with VIRKING’s dark tech heater ‘Muy Bien’, Taste Of Brazil showcases a well-rounded palette of Brazilian sounds and Dirtybird inspirations.
Taste Of Brazil also serves as the debut for this year’s Dirtybird Artist In Residence Pemex, a Los Angeles-based graffiti artist known for blending Native and Ancient Meso-American cultural influences of his travels throughout South America and Mexico.
Dirtybird invites the flock to enjoy the next generation of up-and-coming Brazilian talent with the Taste Of Brazil compilation available now on all platforms.
