French bass act/band DIRTYPHONICS returns with the Hanging On Me (Remixes) EP, out October 1 on Dim Mak Records. One of the highlight tracks on their debut album Irreverence released earlier this winter, “Hanging On Me” features The Duke Spirit’s vocalist Liela Moss. The Hanging On Me (Remixes) EP boasts a diverse arsenal of remixes from producers/DJs Borgore and Ookay, Kastle, and Slogun & iOh. Global bass artist and dubstep badass Borgore joins forces with bass producer Ookay, an up-and-coming act on Borgore’s independent imprint Buygore, for an intense remix that explores the hardstyle genre, the fastest rising scene in electronic music today. Both Borgore and Ookay take their sound to new artistic horizons via their hardstyle-driven remix of “Hanging On Me,” which also includes a melodic dubstep breakdown that quickly shifts into trap territory.

Kastle revisits his trademark style of classic Chicago house mixed with bass friendly beats with a soulful twist for his remix of “Hanging On Me.” One of the new leaders of the current U.K. garage revival movement, Kastle morphs the original track into a modern take on 2-step garage. His rendition of the track is a burning, melody-driven tune that is as sexy as it is dreamy.

Los Angeles-based, new school drum & bass production duo Slogun & iOh flip the slow-burning original into a frenzy. Their approach on “Hanging On Me” perfectly defines the current sound of today’s drum & bass scene: urgent bass kicks, heavy drum drops, and heart-pounding production. The Slogun & iOh remix takes the original to new depths in bass-driven music for tomorrow’s generation of drum & bass heads.

DIRTYPHONICS continue their nonstop, world-touring schedule in 2013, which includes a performance on the Dim Mak Up All Night Stage at the inaugural TomorrowWorld and supporting dates on the upcoming Aokify America Tour with DIM MAK founder Steve Aoki.
