Secret Solstice Festival have also just announced the UK’s The Warehouse Project has come on board as a partner for the festival, putting their huge promotional power behind the first-time Icelandic event.
“The Warehouse Project are definitely at the top of their game. The fact they’re already wanting to be involved with a start-up like Secret Solstice shows how great the 72-hour party in the solstice sun will be. We’ve started with a tiny team here in Iceland that is already kicking some huge goals and we know The Warehouse Project is going to be a huge asset for us to keep smashing out the huge vision we have for the event.” Fred Olafsson ( Secret Solstice festival director)
Called the “Midnight Sun” music festival, Secret Solstice’s unique selling point is what’s likely generating so much international attention, as well as incredible hype in Iceland. Set during the summer solstice weekend in June, where the sun doesn’t fully set for the entire duration of the festival.
With a bill that already includes names like Massive Attack, Schoolboy Q, Woodkid, Banks and more, promoters are promising the lineup will be getting even bigger with at least one more release of artists. In total over 150 acts are set to play Secret Solstice festival this year.
