Tickets have just gone on sale for Saturday 18th October, when 02 Academy Brixton will host the biggest Top 100 DJs party to ever hit the UK. This event will feature the biggest DJS across the planet with a very special performance from the artist voted this years’ world #1. Previous winners include the likes of Hardwell, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox and John Digweed.
This years’ line up consists of Dash Berlin, Showtek, Riva Starr, Flash Mob, Copy Paste Soul, plus new additions Aly & Fila, Andrew Rayel, Coyu, Dyro & Don Diablo.
The fast rising stars of trance, Aly & Fila have established themselves as one of the leading names in dance music. The duo who hail from Egypt were recently voted #1 on the Trance Podium poll taking the place of long standing leader Armin Van Buuren. Coming in at #20 in last year’s Top 100, the trance heads are sure to climb up the charts and further establish themselves as one of the biggest DJ duos on the planet.
The highest climber in last year’s Top 100 poll joins the celebrations at the iconic 02 Academy Brixton. At the young age of 21, Andrew Rayel has already played all across the globe and received support from the likes of Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren and Markus Schulz. He’s fast become a core member of the Armada music family and has performed at A State of Trance shows all across the world.
2014 has been good to Dutch born artist, Don Diablo, performances at Pacha Ibiza, tracks that have hit #1 on Beatport and his ‘Anytime’ Tour has seen him travel from North to South America and South East Asia. Diablo is soon to release his new track on the highly esteemed Spinnin’ Records and you can expect big things from the Amsterdam born and bred producer.
2013 saw Dyro enter the DJ MAG Top 100 charts in at a whopping #30, making him the ‘highest new entry’ artist to ever appear in the poll. Since then he has been on an unstoppable rise. Previously signed to Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings. The summer of 2014 has seen him travel the globe and the DJ MAG Top 100 party will reveal that he’s here to stay for many years to come.
Suara label golden boy Coyu is on an unstoppable rise in recent times with tracks reaching the #1 spot on Beatport and firmly establishing his label as one of the leading imprint’s in the world of techno and house. A regular performer at Suara’s weekly residency at Booom Ibiza, Coyu will make a much anticipated addition to the Top 100 party line-up.
THE TOP 100 DJS POLL 2014
2013’s edition saw a new winner in the form of Dutch powerhouse, Hardwell; the Dutch DJ/producer replaced five-times No.1 Armin Van Buuren. At 25 years old, Hardwell became the Poll’s youngest ever winner. Last year’s Poll received votes from well over 750,000 people and from more than 200 countries, reinforcing its position as the biggest music poll in the world.
The Top 100 DJs Poll Awards will be held during the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) on Saturday 18 October and will take place at the Amsterdam Music Festival. The presentation partner for the awards is KLM – ‘carrier of the world’s best DJs’. The level and scale of the Top 100 DJs Poll in 2014 is neatly conveyed by the choice of venue for this year’s event – The Amsterdam ArenA. The stadium for Ajax football club will welcome thousands of fans to ADE’s biggest dance event.
The Top 100 DJs Poll is a publicly voted poll that inspires fierce debate across the year with speculation on the world’s No.1 DJ, new entries and biggest climbers dominating online discussion and beyond.
