DJ Spen’s Quantize label welcomes back one of its favourite artists – Soulful Emma Louise aka S.E.L – who opens her 2022 account with the uptown funky Spen & Michele Chiavarini Remixes of her new single, ’Brand New’.

Produced by Michele Chiavarni and DJ Spen, ‘Brand New’ gets a rich disco-infused makeover

complete with a killer bassline, swinging percussion and rich musicianship which underpins S.E.L’s uplifting feel-good vocals.Firing things up to give it that extra dance floor swing, the funk flows across all the Remixes including the Extended Vocal Mix, and hard-hitting Sunny Daze Dub and Dubstrumental. Rounding off with a delicious Radio Edit, ‘Brand New’ reflects S.E.L’s authentic positivity as her voice soars to a heady crescendo that’s both deep n’ joyous.’Brand New’ originally appeared on S.E.L’s chart-topping 2021 debut album, ‘Loc’d In Consciousness’, which racked up plaudits from Tony Blackburn on Radio 1, to Ronnie Herel and Gordon Mac on Mi-Soul, Blues & Soul, Echoes and Jazz FM.

Hailed as the ‘sweet heart’ of the UK Soul scene, London songbird, S.E.L continues her unique musical journey having embraced motherhood again for the second time welcoming twins recently.

During the lockdowns and pandemic, Emma released her debut album ‘Loc’d In Consciousness’ and its debut single ‘Melodic Harmony’ as well as clocking up Live shows for the Summer Soulstice Virtual Festival and Mi-Soul @ Boisdale Canary Wharf.

From being the vocal cornerstone for the legendary Jazzie B’s Soul II Soul collective, the unstoppable life force Soulful Emma Louise (S.E.L) has covered a lot of solo ground during the last few years.

Co-Producer, Italian multi-instrumentalist Michele Chiavarini, known for his collabs with DJ Spen as well as lending his jazz-inspired style to records by artists like Beverly Knight, Ultra Nate,Mark Knight, Joey Negro, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue and many more. He recently wrote the theme tune for CNN News (UK) and his Spry label continues to release quality house tracks such  ‘Express Yourself’and ‘Samba Soul’.

DJ Spen is one of the leading International House DJs  & Producers with his own Quantize label that’s recently showcased tracks such as Roland Clarke’s ‘I Can’t Breathe’ and Fonda Rae’s ‘Nobody But You’. With a stellar stream of online performances from his recent Alternative Top 100 DJ set;  a Chicago Hour mix on Ransom Note and his famous weekly Pandemic Praise party Radio shows. His Quantize  & Unquantize Recordings stoke the scene with a diverse set of releases from artists such as Kenny Bobien and Kerri Chandler, and get set to catch him Live on the decks at the Southport Weekender March 18th-20th and at the Suncebeat & Defected Festivals in Croatia this summer.
