Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.
DJ’s Take To Mount Kilimanjaro To Raise Money For Local Special Needs Children.
Ibiza / UK based charity Last Night a DJ Saved My Life Foundation takes on their biggest challenge yet in their pursuit to improve and impact lives globally. They have become known for a string of positive events that have helped highlight international issues whilst also actively supporting the solutions. Next summer will mark their 8th year anniversary as a registered charity and to celebrate this monumental occasion they have pulled 25 close supporters to join their climb of the world’s highest freestanding mountain Mount Kilimanjaro, measuring a staggering 5895m high.
Using music as not only a motivator but also as their connector LNADJ always draw upon a host of the world’s top DJs to utilise their position and energy to engage monetary support for great causes but also ignite their beneficiaries with a resounding gift from the unified world of creatives. DJs including DJ E.A.S.E from Nightmares on Wax and Defected’s master musician and percussionist Shovell will take to the climb 13-23 June 2018.
DJ E.A.S.E Comments:
“I’m super looking for to this challenge on many levels , The first is the need to get fit whilst creating as much awareness as possible to help these one parent families .This will be a life changing experience , that will help change lives for the better ! Happy to help !”
Shovell also elaborated on his reasons for supporting:
I believe we find who we really are and how we truly deal with things when faced with life’s challenges In attempting to climb Kilimanjaro, we literally face a mountain of a challenge In doing so we are able to positively affect the lives of young people both in African and international communities Therefore, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro creates an amazing benefit for all concerned 1LOVE
Managed by Large Minority their new travel partner the climb will accommodate 25 people, with each raising a minimum of £2500 each, which is estimated to generate a total to £62,500. The substantial funds will go towards building a 20 bed purpose built home for up to 50 special needs children and their single parent mothers in the region of Kilimanjaro. The project began following their 2017 Cycle Ibiza Challenge, which raised over £20,000 for the first building phase, which is now complete.
Jonny Founder of Last Night a DJ Saved my Life comments:
‘Its a honour to be sharing this challenge with everyone and reaching the summit on our 8th anniversary will be a special moment to reflect on our achievements to date.’
Everybody involved will be bringing something special to the project and it marks the first of many new and innovative LNADJ plans alongside their new adventure travel partners Large Minority. A staged mini cultural festival complete with Funktion One sound system and will take place on June 21st celebrating the success and the birthday of LNADJ as they reach this benchmark age. Accompanied by local musicians and local children learning to DJ from the region’s boys homes they support will signify an essential boost as they will be awarded the necessary funding and also partake in a pivotal event alongside DJ E.A.S.E (NOW) who will also be releasing his new album Shape the Future on 26th January 2018.
Not only is the climb targeted at Africa’s tallest mountain but is sent to address an often overlooked component that requires immediate attention. LNADJ has already appeared, performed, curated, created and established events for bespoke charities everywhere from Parliament House with iconic figureheads Carl Cox and Fatboy Slim. Join them in support of another amazing charity and assist their ascension in addressing global needs on an independent basis.
